IdentAlloy/IdentCeram Council Ships Record Number of Certificates in 2009

The IdentAlloy/IdentCeram Council shipped 16.3 million certificates in 2009, according to Charles Yenkner, Executive Director. This represented a 36% increase over 2008. The increase was driven by a much greater interest on the part of laboratories, dentists and patients in the material content of dental restorations. IdentCeram certificates accounted for 23% of the certificate volume, and five new companies became licensees.
"Our goal is to enroll all the manufacturers/distributors of alloy and ceramic substructure materials into this voluntary self-regulatory program, and to become even more widely recognized as a positive way to communicate material content," commented Mr. David Sklarski, CEO of Sterngold LLC and President of the IdentAlloy/IdentCeram Council. "We are pleased with our continued growth in membership in 2010."
