IdentAlloy Distributes Record Number of Certificates in 2004

The IdentAlloy Council and participating licensees printed and distributed a record number of alloy certificates in 2004. More than 10.4 million certificates were distributed throughout North America in 2004, surpassing the previous high of 9.8 million in 2002. Certificates for high noble, noble, predominantly base, and chrome cobalt alloys are available.

These convenient, easy-to-use, two-part certificates are provided by alloy manufacturers who are licensees of the IdentAlloy Council to their laboratory clients free of charge. One part of the certificate is kept with the laboratory records. The second part travels with the case to the doctor's office for inclusion with the patient records, making information on the alloy used to fabricate the case and its contents always available. In today's world of insurance claims and patient allergies, dentists and patients alike can gain greater peace-of-mind with this documentation on file.

Charles Yenkner, Executive Director of the IdentAlloy Council, said: "The IdentAlloy program's growth this past year was driven by a strong market, two new licensees, and the introduction of a new certificate for chrome cobalt removable partial denture alloys."
