IdentAlloy

For Manufacturers/Suppliers

Join other industry leaders

For more than 25 years, leading manufacturers and suppliers of dental restorative materials have participated in an independent materials certification program developed in conjunction with the American Dental Association. The IdentAlloy/IdentCeram program enables manufacturers to verify the content of their products by supplying free certificates to distributors, dental laboratories, dentists, patients, insurance providers and others. By taking part in the program, manufacturers:

  • Demonstrate to labs, dentists and patients your company's commitment to quality, consistency and positive outcomes
  • Respond to the growing interest in the content of dental materials
  • Provide labs and dentists with peace-of-mind and a new reasons to order your products
  • Promote industry standards and self-regulation
  • Simplify the way you document product quality and content
  • Receive referrals, credentialing and other support via your listing on the IdentAlloy/IdentCeram website.

How It Works
Manufacturers qualifying for membership in the program and agreeing to comply with its guidelines gain the right to distribute IdentAlloy or IdentCeram certificates with the products they supply to dental labs. The labs then include these certificates with every case sent to dentists to verify the quality and content of the materials that were used. Dentists then use them to assure patients that the correct and most appropriate material is being employed, while also adding the certificates to the patient's permanent record.

Join Today
Today, more than two dozen U.S. and Canadian manufacturers take part in the IdentCeram/IdentAlloy program, ordering more than 17 million certificates in 2010 alone. Though the standards for participation are rigorous, the process for joining the program is easy:

  • Read the Material Content Disclosure Guidelines (DOC file)
  • Read, sign and submit the Licensee Agreement along with the fee shown in Appendix 3.
  • Provide us with documentation regarding the content of your materials and information on your quality control system. ISO or CE Marked documentation will usually suffice.

Once we receive your documentation we will prepare proofs of certificates for your products and send them to you for approval. We will then print and send your certificates according to your instructions so that you can begin including them with every product shipped to labs or distributors. The process normally takes just 3-4 weeks. You'll also receive tips on using IdentAlloy and/or IdentCeram certificates to their best advantage - for you and the whole dental community, as well as dental patients.

Thank you in advance for your support of independent material content standards and verification. We look forward to helping you respond to the increasing interest today in dental material content and quality.
